Château Courac Côtes du Rhône
« Ripe raspberries, cracked pepper and hints of garrigue can be found on the nose of the 2018 Côtes du Rhône, a medium to full bodied blend of grenache, syrah, cinsault and carignan. It’s medium to full-bodied, supple and easy to drink, fruit-forward and juicy, with a mouthwatering finish. Built not for aging, but for drinking, it should be consumed over the next 2-3 years. »
Château Courac Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun
« The property’s more serious wine is the 2018 Côtes du Rhône Village Laudun. It’s darker in the glass and more aromatic, with pronounced hints of garrigue interlaced with licorice, raspberries and cassis, even some floral notes. Full-bodied and supple, it’s round and ripe in the mouth, with herbal overtons that linger on the softly dusty finish. A bit more structured than the Côtes du Rhône, it’s still not a wine for exented aging. »
Château Courac Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun Blanc
« The 2019 Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun (from commune known for its white wines) boasts a pale straw hue and refreshing scents of lime and tangerine, with a slightly herbal tinge. Inthe mouth, it’s medium-bodied and plump, adding hints of stone fruit and melon, then returns to citrus on the vibrant finish. Nicely done ! »
Château Courac Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun
« Hints of smoke and granite mingle into violet and black cherry in this full-bodied, bright-fruited red. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Counoisand Mourvèdre, it’s a soft, easy-drinking sip held upright by firm, fine-grained tannins and a backbone of earthen minerality. At peak now–2027. »
Château Courac Côtes du Rhône
« Raspberry and red-plum flavors are glossy and pure in this full-bodied
blend of equal parts Syrah and Grenache augmented by 20% Carignan. Fresh fruited and easy drinking, it’s an approachable sip shaded by delicate hints of tar, granite and peppery spice. Soft, silky tannins accentuate the plush appeal. Best now–2024 ! »
Château Courac White Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun
« A twist of grapefruit peel introduces this sunny, full-bodied blend of 80% Clairette and 20% Grenache Blanc. It’s a rich, ample wine that falls with a satisfying heft on the palate but crisp minerality and a delicate lemon spray lifts the finish. Best
now–2024. »
